Gabby Douglas
Thanks to her older sister, Gabby Douglas was out snatching medals by the time she was eight. Her sister had taught toddler Douglas how to do a cartwheel, and perhaps that triggered the athletic nerves in her, slowly building her into one of the most gifted professional gymnasts of her time.

She began training full-time when she was 14, and she was already earning gold medals in big contests by 2010. Douglas is the first African American in the history of the Summer Olympics to become an All-Around Gold Medalist.
